My lifelong personal and corporate mission is to leverage people and organizations into open communication so they can live free of conflict, tension, anger, and fear. I saw a need for and developed the Anger Solutions™ Program, which has been the mainstay of Leverage U’s offerings since 1994. Since then, we have expanded our offerings to corporate and executive coaching, team building, publishing and media, and support for aspiring indie writers. A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
My lifelong personal and corporate mission is to leverage people and organizations into open communication so they can live free of conflict, tension, anger, and fear. I have fulfilled this mission in several ways over the years: as a mental health worker and case manager, an international public speaker and corporate trainer, a youth employment counsellor, an adjunct professor of Forensic Psychology and other subjects, and most recently, as a Registered Psychotherapist.
Little known facts about me: I did a stint voicing radio ads, I worked for three years as a journalist and did another term as editor in chief of a training newspaper! Another bit of trivia: I was the voice of CHRI 99.1 FM’s voice mail system for several years. For the last two years, I have been working behind the scenes as consultant for a scripted television show in development.
My two loves are psychology and English, and my dual Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and English from the University of Ottawa, and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University have proven useful in pursuing my passion. I am a member in good standing of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP), Ontario Society for Adlerian Psychology (ONSAP), the Ontario Association of Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists, and Psychometrists (OACCPP) and am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
In addition to public speaking, training, and publishing, I have a full time private practice in counselling and psychotherapy (est. 2010) located in the Niagara Region. All of our coaching and counselling services are provided through said practice. www.juliechristiansen.com.
